i lose myself on fits of rage

when trembling in corners

however, i am unashamed

when ghastly remarks are

thrown our way.

it's just a selfish jealousy 

that fills their heads

and keeps them awake

as they weigh out their

kisses on checks and 

balances they should

have made 

long before they 

turned away.
