I think I was feeling you next to me tonight.
There were moments I felt you pressed
against my side.

Waking up without you is just not the same
as dreaming that you were with me all along.
And that's the thought that keeps me moving
all throughout my day;
I know i'll dream you're here again tonight,
and it makes me less afraid.

I like this piece--it's simple, direct, but most importantly it touches on a motif I'm fascinated with: the bridge between dreams and consciousness. It helps, also, that the object of these dreams is a person, and a person longed for at that. Nice.
