If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
-2 Corinthians 5:17How incredibly simple is it for us to forget that? I think that we forget it everyday, to be honest. If we were focused on Christ, we would remember that we have no reason to bis disheartened by our daily worries- for God will provide way for us! If we were to remember Christ's sacrifice we'd offer ourselves up for what God has intended for us to do.
In everything I do, I want to remember that I am a new creation. Every part of me has been transformed. Any dealing that I struggle with that is not of Christ, may it be cast aside. I do not want to be seen in any light other than His! Glory be to God...
I saw a man the other day
with hat bowed down
above his brow
and his hairs all turning gray.
In his eyes I saw a spark
that went beyond his years
it spoke out past his charm
and laughter,
giving life to all his ways.
He spoke to me about the
weather,
and I knew his words were
not just to speak to me;
He saw that I was bored
of where I was,
saw that I might want to
take a plane,
saw that I was afraid of
being in one sole place.
I did not mind that he saw
through me,
as he started common chatter.
He wanted to distract me,
and he did just that as my
heart did race,
for in it a new beat was
gaining.
Meaning does not come
solely from
philosophy and great words;
sometimes the most
important exchanges come
from the most humble
bits of common.
